Our Nov 2023 complimentary in-person Breakfast Employment Law Seminar - 08.45 - 10.15am
Many of you have requested that, in addition to our very popular webinars, we also arrange in person seminars.
In conjunction with Knights solicitors, we are delighted to invite you to this complimentary session, to be held in Brighton, which is aimed at HR Managers, or above, and will be a smaller, more strategic session than the ones we hold online.
Amy Richardson and Sarah Burke will present some key information and will then facilitate discussions on the topic.
As we know the pandemic completely changed the way people work, particularly working parents and opened discussions for a more flexible way of working. This flexible approach has continued following the pandemic and support for working parents is a hot topic given upcoming changes in legislation (including changes to flexible working request processes, changes to redundancy rights and the introduction of neonatal leave). As the cost of childcare rockets and employers face a fierce battle for talent in the labour market, it is mutually beneficial to make it as easy as possible for parents to continue working whether that is helping them move part-time or implementing term-time hours to support childcare arrangements.
In this seminar we will look at the following areas:
• Challenges faced by working parents
• Changes to flexible working
• Changes to redundancy rights
• The report on careers after babies
• Why the uptake of shared parental leave isn’t as high as expected
• The four-day working week
• Your experience and ideas for supporting working parents
Location: Knights, 3 Neptune Square, Edward Street Quarter, Brighton BN2 0AT
