A high-tech engineering and manufacturing company based in Eastbourne, with a current UK business headcount of 100 is looking to recruit a full generalist HR Manager to start in January 2022.
Part of a global business, there is planned UK growth across the next few years. Day to day the role will report in to the Site Operations Manager, with dotted line reporting to the VP of HR, based in the US. The role is part of the global HR team and there will be opportunities to be involved in global cross boarder HR projects
The UK site is only based in Eastbourne with both the head office and manufacturing located on the same site. (60 in the head office and 40 in the factory, plus an additional 10 agency on top).
The HR Manager position is a varied generalist role with 1 direct report (HR & Payroll Administrator).
This is a full time, permanent role. It can also be considered across 4 full days. The role will be mainly office based with the option of working 1 day at home.
There will be the opportunity to travel to the global HR team meeting once a year and also the possibility to occasionally travel to Europe to see the other sites and feel part of the wider company.
The current HR Manager started in the role on a 1-year FTC and is still there 10 years later. However, she is now semi retiring with future plans to fully retire. She will remain in the background for the foreseeable across 2-3 days on a strategic level, but will not interfere but coach and mentor as required.
