As it appears that we will not be returning to normality any time soon, employers need to learn new ways of engaging with their employees when the usual face to face meetings and social events are not possible. This session will cover the legal and psychological issues that have been developing over the past few months and consider:
- How to manage uncertainty, and maintain motivation when a team or entire workforce is remote
- Getting the right balance between challenge and support
- The psychological barriers to feeling safe (whether that’s covid safety, job safety)
- Understanding different needs and requirements (people’s home set ups are different, and the desire to work remotely or in office is not universal)
- The do’s and don’ts of managing performance and sickness remotely
